A.D. 81 Candidate Morgan Evers Endorsed by Rivera, Jackson & Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club

Morgan Evers, a teacher and disability activist who launched her campaign to challenge local, 16-term Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz on Dec. 7, 2025 for the 81st Assembly District seat in the upcoming June primaries, has received additional endorsements in recent weeks in the form of local State Senators Gustavo Rivera (S.D. 33), Robert Jackson (S.D. 31), and the Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club.

At its 52nd annual meeting, held at Lehman College on Saturday, Feb. 28, the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC) announced its new organizational name and identity, Our Bronx, marking the organization’s borough-wide expansion and what was described as its deepened commitment to building power for racial justice and economic democracy across The Bronx. To Balance the Budget, Mamdani Details Two Paths – Tax the Rich or Let the Middle Class Fund the Gap

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani released the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Preliminary Budget on Tuesday, Feb. 17, outlining the scope of what was described as a fiscal crisis he said he inherited from the prior administration. The mayor presented two paths forward to balance the budget (a legal requirement): raise revenue from the wealthiest New Yorkers and most profitable corporations and end the drain of City resources to the State, or have working and middle-class New Yorkers fund the gap.

Morgan Evers who launched her campaign to challenge local Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz on Dec. 7, for his Assembly District 81 seat in the upcoming June primaries, is calling on the seasoned politician who has held the seat for four decades to return a campaign contribution received from prominent New York attorney Brad Karp, after the latest Epstein file disclosures by the U.S. Department of Justice reveal emails exchanged between the deceased convicted pedophile and representatives of Karp.
