Bronx Day in Albany 2026 Change Maker Award Recipients Announced

The Bronx Chamber of Commerce announced Friday, Feb. 27, the 17 recipients of the 2026 Bronx Day in Albany Change Maker Award, which Chamber officials said recognizes Bronx-based businesses, nonprofits and entrepreneurs making meaningful contributions to the borough’s economy, workforce and communities.

Founder of Real Estate Developer Behind South Bronx Development Pleads Guilty to Fraud

U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton announced Friday, Feb. 27, that Florida man, Joshua Schuster, pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Valerie E. Caproni to securities fraud for his role in a scheme to defraud investors in large real estate development projects located in New York City. Schuster is scheduled to be sentenced in July 2026.   

Beeline Buses Suspended until Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 4.30 a.m.

Due to what was described as ongoing hazardous road conditions caused by the latest snowstorm, Bee-Line buses and Paratransit Service remains suspended for all of Monday, Feb. 23, and will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 4:30 a.m. according to Westchester County government officials.

Love is in The Air

For some, Feb. 14 has perhaps come to be seen as a commercial grab by opportunists seeking to capitalize on the sale of flowers, chocolates, lingerie, dining out, and more. For others, the holiday is regarded as somewhat contrived, cringe, a little outdated, and perhaps an unwelcome reminder of their prevailing relationship status.

UPDATE Norwood: Arrest Made in Armed Robbery inside Laundromat

The NYPD said they have made one arrest following a gunpoint robbery that occurred in the Norwood section of The Bronx on Feb. 14.  Police had been asking for the public’s help identifying the two people seen in the attached video who they said were wanted for questioning in connection with the robbery.
