Student Supports Nurses on Day 5 of Strike: “The Nurses Took Care of Me. I’ll Never Forget That”
An estimated 15,000 nurses, who are members of New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA), in The Bronx and Manhattan at Montefiore, Mount Sinai, and New York Presbyterian private hospital systems continued their strike action on Friday, Jan. 15, which began on Monday, Jan. 12, as reported. The strike followed failed prior negotiations between the parties, as reported, and mainly centers around nurse/patient ratio and other working conditions.
