This week, following the recent win in the Democratic mayoral primary of Queens Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani (A.D. 36), a Democratic Socialist, we asked readers for their opinions on socialism. The Merriam Webster definition of socialism is any of various egalitarian economic and political theories or movements advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.

The Northwest Bronx Community & Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC), and 8th Regiment Partners, the winning bidder selected by NYC Economic Development Corporation (EDC) to lead the latest redevelopment project for the long-vacant, City-owned Kingsbridge Armory, joined EDC, labor unions, and elected officials at the Armory on Tuesday, June 3, to announce details of a new community benefits agreement (CBA) negotiated in the context of that latest redevelopment plan. 

Bronx Week 2025 Concludes in Bedford Park

Bronx Week 2025 concluded on Sunday, May 18, on Mosholu Parkway in Bedford Park with the annual parade, street activities, and concert finale. Bronx Borough President Vanessa L.
