Montefiore Einstein Give Out Free New Bikes to P.S. 199 Students during National Bike Safety Month

Twenty-eight students from P.S. 199, The Shakespeare School, were the lucky recipients of new bikes last week thanks to the Montefiore School Health Program and the Montefiore Einstein Center for Performance Improvement. The bikes were presented to the students at their school, located at 1449 Shakespeare Avenue in the Mt. Eden section of The Bronx on Friday, May 19. Montefiore officials said the Grade 1 to 5 students, who were entered into a raffle after demonstrating respect, readiness, and responsibility, also learned about bike safety during the giveaway event. Several hundred children and their parents gathered in St. James Park along Jerome Avenue and East 192nd Street just south of Kingsbridge Heights in Fordham Manor for the 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8. A man dressed in black and riding a blue fairly heavy looking motorbike up and down the path beside the running track in the Williamsbridge Oval in Norwood on Wednesday, April 12, while kids and seniors were playing / relaxing close by.
