Lehman College Receives $1 Million for Lecture Hall Renovations from BP Capital Funding Budget

Lehman College has received a $1 million allocation in city capital funding through Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz Jr.’s office to upgrade several of its most heavily used lecture halls.   The funding was authorized July 1 as part of New York City’s $98.7 billion budget for fiscal year 2022. Police Continue Hunt for Suspect in Elderly Man’s Bus Assault

  Police continue to search for a suspect wanted in connection with the beating of an elderly man aboard an MTA bus on May 31, 2021.   According to a Twitter post by NYPD Crime Stoppers on Wednesday, July 14, the incident was initially reported on Monday, May 31 on an MTA bus at 5:30 p.m. at East Gun Hill Road and Barnes Avenue in the Olinville section of the Bronx.   The Crime Stoppers post reported at the time, “The unidentified individual assaulted an 83-year-old male victim that was attempting to exit MTA bus 8621.” An accompanying video shows

UPDATE Norwood: Dog Stranded on Second-Story Window Ledge of High-Rise Building

Morrisania: Another Murder Inquiry Opens 8 Days After Anti-Gun Violence Vigil is Held

Police have opened a murder investigation following the shooting of a 38-year-old man in the head inside a car in Morrisania.   On Sunday, July 25, at approximately 2.28 a.m. police responded to a call regarding a person who had been shot opposite 589 East 164th Street in Morrisania, in the 42nd precinct.
