The NYPD has released photo and video of two unidentified gunmen sought for questioning in connection to the shooting of six people, including a 40-year-old mother who was used as a human shield, and her 12-year-old daughter, inside a White Plains Road convenience store in the Olinville section of The Bronx on Monday evening, Dec. 30. They said the two “opened fire in the middle of the street” and continued shooting inside the small “crowded convenience store” injuring all six people in the process.

UPDATE Williamsbridge: 15-Year-Old Boy Reported Missing Now Located

A new Affordable Housing Services (AHS) site has opened at 2736 Creston Avenue in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY. Officials say the new site has created nearly 400 “deeply affordable homes for New Yorkers in shelter” through the AHS initiative” in 2024.

Family, friends, colleagues, and players, young and old, who were trained by 60-year-old volunteer football coach, Dwight Downer, gathered in the Williamsbridge Oval Park in Norwood on Friday, Dec. 5, for a moving, candlelit vigil to pay tribute to their relative, friend, and mentor who died tragically following a multiple-vehicle road collision on Saturday morning, Nov. 30, a few minutes after midnight.
