The Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade Committee held its 2nd Annual Health & Resource Fair & Toy Giveaway to mark Three Kings Day (Jan. 6) on Saturday, Jan. 4. This year, the event was held at James Monroe Houses, located at 1780 Story Avenue in Soundview.

The Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is proud to present “The Greatest Love of All,”  A Tribute to Whitney Houston, starring Belinda Davids on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. According to the show’s promoters, the critically acclaimed tribute show brings Whitney Houston’s musical legacy to life with breathtaking performances of iconic ballads like “I Will Always Love You” and “Greatest Love of All”.

Bronx Opera Presents “Hansel & Gretel” at Lehman College

The Bronx Opera presents two performances of the beloved family opera “Hansel and Gretel” by Engelbert Humperdinck on Friday, Jan. 31, at 7.30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2.30 p.m. at Lehman College’s Lovinger Theater, located at 250 Bedford Park Blvd. West in The Bronx. The artistic director of the Bronx Opera is Ben Spierman and the conductor is Michael Spierman.

District 15 City Councilmember Oswald Feliz hosted his Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway on Monday, Nov. 25, where hundreds of local community members lined up to receive free turkeys and fresh produce at Rose Hill Park at the intersection of Webster Avenue and East Fordham Road in Fordham Manor.
