UPDATE Kingsbridge Heights: 40+ Pounds of Fentanyl Seized Six Blocks from Bronx Daycare Center Where Infants OD’d  

Federal law enforcement authorities announced Thursday, Sept. 28, that as part of the ongoing investigation into fentanyl trafficking in New York City, federal, state, and local law enforcement officers recovered over 40 pounds of suspected fentanyl, carrying an estimated street value of $1.5 million in The Bronx on Tuesday evening, Sept. 26. They said the latest seizure took place six blocks away from Divino Niño Daycare Center at 2707 Morris Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, where one-year old Nicholas Dominici experienced fentanyl exposure and later died on Friday, Sept. 15. Three other infants were also hospitalized as a result of being exposed to fentanyl at the same daycare center and are now recovering, as reported.

Weapon, Cocaine Seized & Five Arrested in 2nd Round of Business Raids Across A.D. 80

Cocaine and a weapon were seized and five people were arrested following a second round of targeted raids by law enforcement of businesses in Assembly District 80 on Monday, Sept. 18. Assemblyman John Zaccaro Jr. (A.D. 80) who, as reported, was sworn into office for the first time in March, said the New York County Sheriff’s office conducted the raids on businesses located along White Plains Road in Pelham Parkway, suspected of illegally selling tobacco and cannabis products.

Marble Hill: Unconfirmed Reports of a Robbery at Target

  Users of the Citizens’ App posted on the platform on Sunday, Sept. 24, about an as yet unconfirmed report of a potential robbery at a Target store in Marble Hill the same day.   The posts began at around 11.45 a.m. on Sunday, and one post referred to a suspect described as wearing a black sweater with two white stripes on it and black pants with a belt which had a red tag on it, reportedly armed with a screwdriver, fleeing on foot toward Broadway.   Norwood News contacted the NYPD to corroborate if the incident was legitimate. Wakefield: Queens Man Arrested & Charged with Murder in 2020 Killing of Bronx Man

Police said they have arrested a 32-year-old man from Queens on murder charges in relation to the killing of a 44-year-old man from Wakefield in March 2020.   Police said that on Friday, March 20, at around 3.30 p.m., officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an assault in progress at 224th Street and White Plains Road. “Upon arrival, officers discovered a 44-year-old male with sustained trauma about the head, who was struck with a blunt object,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where
