Wakefield: Gunman Sought in Non-Fatal Shooting, Victim Hit in Face

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred in Wakefield, in which the victim was shot in the face.

 

Police said that on Saturday, Dec. 2, at around 6.50 p.m., in front of 4052 White Plains Road, a 29-year-old male victim was standing at the location when the unidentified person approached him and shot the victim, striking him in the chin. They said the shooter then fled the location on foot heading to parts unknown. “The victim was transported by private means to Montefiore Medical Center in stable condition,” a police spokesperson said.

 

Police said the suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion, a thin build, and was last seen wearing a green, hooded sweatshirt, a dark bubble jacket, green sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.

 

A photo of the alleged suspect is attached. Police said it was taken prior to the incident, near the incident location.
