Police have formally charged one person in the context of a murder investigation after a man was taken into custody for questioning following the fatal stabbing of a 52-year-old second man in the middle of the street in a seemingly random attack in Kingsbridge in the early hours of Friday morning, June 30. A 74-year-old female pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Bedford Park on Thursday, police said. Police said the accident took place at 9.31 a.m. at Bainbridge Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway South. Police have identified the 26-year-old man who died following a fatal shooting in Williamsbridge on Thursday, June 29. NYPD detectives from Brooklyn have arrested a man charged with beating and sexually assaulting a woman in Brooklyn on June 7, who they say had been a resident at the Jerome Avenue Men’s Shelter (JAMS) located on Jerome Avenue in Norwood. One of the points debated in the lead-up to the Democratic primary election for the position of Bronx district attorney, taking place on June 27 between incumbent Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark and defense attorney Tess Cohen, was the district attorney’s handling of cases. Cohen alleges Clark could manage her office more efficiently. The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating a 15-year-old girl reporting missing from Fordham Manor. Police said that Khaidley Rodriguez of 2687 Heath Avenue was last seen on June 17, at around 11 p.m., leaving her home. They said she is described as female, is around 5 feet, 5 inches in height, is Black Hispanic, weighs around 120 pounds, and has brown eyes and long brown hair. A 23-year-old motorcycle driver remains in serious condition and his 23-year-old female passenger was in stable condition after an early morning collision at Jerome Avenue and Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood.
