Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark and NYC Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch announced Thursday, April 30, that they had “put the breaks” on 11 of 16 people with alleged links to the Trinitarios gang who have been charged with various crimes in a 971-count indictment relating to a widespread theft operation of cars and valuable auto parts throughout The Bronx and the rest of New York City.

At its 52nd annual meeting, held at Lehman College on Saturday, Feb. 28, the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC) announced its new organizational name and identity, Our Bronx, marking the organization’s borough-wide expansion and what was described as its deepened commitment to building power for racial justice and economic democracy across The Bronx. This week, we asked readers their opinion on the current situation in Iran, and if they think America could be attacked at home in retaliation for having started a bombing campaign, together with Israel, against Iran on Feb. 28, killing the Iranian leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as around 175 people, mostly children, after a school was struck. Since then, Reuters report that around 3,134 Iranians have been killed.
