UPDATE Park Reservoir Shareholders Receive Funding for Housing Needs

Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz (A.D. 81) was joined by Councilman Eric Dinowitz (C.D. 11) at the Park Reservoirs Annual shareholders meeting during the weekend ending Sunday, Nov. 16, when the assemblyman presented a check for $1 million to the shareholders. His office said the funds will be used for essential capital projects “to help Park Reservoir continue to succeed as the first Mitchell-Lama built in New York.” 

UPDATE Bedford Park: CB7 Honors Veterans at Community Breakfast

Bronx Community Board 7 (CB7), the New York Grey Cadets, Assemblyman John Zaccaro Jr. (A.D. 80), the NYC Civic Engagement Commission, veterans, residents and others gathered at Bedford Park’s Lehman College on Saturday Nov. 15, for a community breakfast in honor of Veterans Appreciation Month, which, as reported, is marked in November in New York City, since 2023. A participatory budget (PB) conversation was also held.

FDNY EMS Local 2507 Launches Ad Urging Mayor to honor 2021 Campaign Promise of Wage Equity

FDNY EMS Local 2507, which represents more than 4,000 emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics and fire inspectors in New York City, recently launched a video ad campaign to urge New York City Mayor Eric Adams to fulfill a commitment from his 2021 mayoral campaign to grant FDNY EMS wage equity with other New York City, front-line first responders i.e. the NYPD and the FDNY.

Bronx Special Victims Unit Opens in Kingsbridge

Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark joined NYPD officials, City officials, and Maureen Curtis, vice president at Safe Horizon, for the opening of a new Bronx Special Victims Unit in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on Oct. 27.
