Council Passes Laws on Daycare Inspection Training & Informing Parents of Rights re Childcare Programs

Bronx Councilmember Pierina Sanchez (C.D. 14) announced on Aug. 14 the passage of a package of bills at the New York City Council on inspection training in relation to New York City’s childcare facilities and an outreach campaign to inform parents of their rights in relation to childcare programs.

Police said they have made several arrests after a 25-year-old man was fatally shot on Monday evening, Sept. 1, in the Allerton section of The Bronx, and four other people who were also shot were hospitalized and remain in stable condition.

Her mother added that her daughter is also in need of support services from a health perspective and the last time she was found, she was wandering the streets alone.
