One man has died, one woman is in critical condition, and a third man is recovering from his injuries in stable condition following an early morning, triple shooting in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx. On Tuesday, May 3, at approximately 00.46 a.m., police responded to a 911 report regarding two people who had been shot inside 6 East Burnside Avenue. Police said a 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Daniel Valdez, 43, in Kingsbridge on May 2. Police said on Monday, May 2, at 5.53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man who had been assaulted at a location on Irwin Avenue. A new deadline of May 20 for revised 2022 redistricting maps for the congressional and State senate districts has been ordered by the New York State Supreme Court, according to court documents filed April 29, and the 2022 primary date for congressional and State elections has been postponed to Tuesday, August 23.
