Bedford Park: Search for 71-Year-old Missing Woman

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 71-year-old woman reported missing in Bedford Park.   It was reported to police that Hyse Berdynaj, 71, of 2910 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY was last seen on Saturday, April 30, at approximately 7 p.m, leaving her home. Berdynai is described as female, is around 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. New York City District Council of Carpenters Announces 25 Carpenter Apprenticeships

  The NYPD said on Monday, May 30, that a 15-year-old girl previously reported missing from Morris Heights has been located.   Prior to being found, it was reported to police that Koshianna Chavis, 15, of 40 Richman Plaza, 22E, Bronx, NY had last been seen on Monday, April 25, at approximately 5 p.m., leaving her home. Koshianna was described as female, approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall, Black, weighing around 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Prior to being located, she had last been seen wearing a purple, hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and dark blue crocs.

Laconia: 51-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Dies following Daylight Collision

A 51-year-old woman died from her injuries after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in the Laconia section of the East Bronx following a daylight road incident involving one vehicle.   On Thursday, April 28, at approximately 12.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit at the intersection of Burke Avenue and Bouck Avenue in Laconia.
