Pelham Parkway: Three Sought for Assault on Female Victim, Stomped, Kicked on Ground

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the three individuals seen in the attached video and photos who are sought regarding an assault on a woman that occurred in Pelham Parkway, located in the 49th precinct.   It was reported to police that on Wednesday, May 18, at approximately 9.14 p.m., at the northwest corner of Lydig Avenue and White Plains Road, police responded to a 911 call regarding a woman who had been assaulted.   Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a 37-year-old female victim with a broken jaw. Eastchester: Driver Dies After Overshooting Ramp and Crashing into Home

A 25-year-old male driver has died in a single vehicle accident in Eastchester after allegedly losing control of his vehicle on a bend, overshooting a ramp, and driving into a home located beneath an elevated thruway.   On Thursday, May 26, at approximately 6.57 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle accident on the southbound New England Thruway near exit 14, in Eastchester, located in the 47th precinct.   Police officials said, “A preliminary investigation determined that a 2009 black, Mercedes Benz C300 sedan [was] travelling southbound on the New England Thruway.” They said the vehicle

UPDATE Parks Dept: Cordoned Off Section of Williamsbridge Oval Unrelated to Legionnaires’ Cluster

New York City Department of Parks & Recreation has allayed fears that a section of Williamsbridge Oval park in Norwood may have been cordoned off to curtail the potential spread of Legionnaires’ disease, following an announcement on Saturday, May 21, by the Bronx Borough President that the City’s health department were investigating a now confirmed cluster of the illness that had been identified in the Highbridge and Melrose sections of the borough.   Legionnaires’ disease is a form of pneumonia. “Four people have been diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease since May 9, 2022, and results for other individuals are pending,” Gibson

Wakefield: Search for Missing 68-Year-Old Man

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 68-year-old man reported missing from the Wakefield section of The Bronx.   It was reported to police that Eduardo Ortiz, of 1050 East 230th Street was last seen at his home on Monday, May 23, at approximately 2.30 p.m. He is described as being around 5 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs around 130 pounds, and was last seen wearing a light blue, polo shirt with yellow and white stripes.   Anyone with information regarding this missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)
