Tremont: NYPD Seeking 5 Persons of Interest following Murder

 

The NYPD is appealing to the general public for help identifying a group of individuals seen in the attached video footage and photo who are sought for questioning as part of an ongoing investigation following the murder of a 27-year-old man in the Tremont section of The Bronx.

 

On Thursday, June 9, police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at 595 East Tremont Avenue. Police officials said, “Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple gunshot wounds to the body and torso.” They added, “EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests in regard and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.”

 

The deceased was later identified as Avanti Frowner of 5750 West Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles, California.

 

On June 10, the NYPD said that pursuant to the ongoing investigation, the five individuals seen in the attached video are being sought in connection with the incident.
