Kingsbridge: Man Sought in Identified Burglary Pattern

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached media who they say is wanted in connection to a burglary pattern that has been identified across the boundaries of the 50th Precinct, which covers some or all of the neighborhoods of Riverdale, Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, and Spuyten Duyvil.

Future of Van Cortlandt Jewish Center Still Uncertain

The future of Van Cortlandt Jewish Center (VCJC), as well as the many programs it provides, continues to remain in jeopardy as its representatives negotiate with a developer to sell the property, along with a private home the center owns on the block. Simultaneously, community residents, congregants, and users of VCJC are hoping the center’s management will listen to their concerns and how its potential closure would leave a void in the community.

Fordham Manor: Migrants Removed from Illegal Migrant Shelter, the 2nd Allegedly Run by the Same Man

Several West African migrants were evacuated in late February by City officials due to unsafe living conditions from a make-shift, Bronx migrant shelter located at 305 East Kingsbridge Road in Fordham Manor which was allegedly being illegally run by the same man who had already been busted for allegedly trespassing and allegedly running two other illegal shelters, one at the Old Fordham Library building, also in Fordham Manor, and a second in a Queens furniture store.
