Apply by the Deadline, Today, Feb. 27, for Pre-K and 3-K

Ahead of the Friday, Feb. 27, deadline to apply for Pre-K and 3-K childcare, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani joined children at a Pre-K and 3-K program in Morningside Heights and urged families to submit their applications to the program. Families with children turning three or four in 2026 are encouraged to apply, he said, adding that every family that applies by the deadline will receive an offer. Applications are not first-come, first-served.

This week, we asked readers for their opinions on the “Epstein Files” and if they believe anyone else will be held accountable for sex crimes or for assisting Jeffrey Epstein with the sex crimes he perpetrated. It’s been widely reported that Epstein died in custody in 2019 as he awaited his trial on sex trafficking charges. He was convicted a decade earlier and spent 13 months in a county jail, which included a work-release program, for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
