Bronx Marks World AIDS Day Amid High HIV Rates

  The following is an extended version of the story that appears in our latest print edition.   Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson hosted an event to mark World AIDS Day on Fordham Plaza on Thursday, Dec. 1 to spread awareness about AIDS, a life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that attacks the immune system of the patient. Norwood: Body of Man “at Least a Few Days” Old Removed from Van Cortlandt Park, Police Said

  Police said the body of a man estimated to be between 50 and 60 years of age was removed from Van Cortlandt Park in Norwood on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 17.   The discovery was made in the vicinity of Mosholu Parkway North and West Gun Hill Road. Mayor Announces Plan to Provide Care for People with Untreated Severe Mental Illness in NYC

New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced on Nov. 29 a new pathway forward to addressing what was called the ongoing crisis of people experiencing severe mental illnesses who are left untreated and unsheltered in New York City’s streets and subways. UPDATE MTA Announces Progress on Long-Awaited Mosholu Parkway Subway Elevator

Queens Man Charged after Cocaine worth $300,000 & $50,000+ in Cash Seized in The Bronx

Veterans’ Plaque Grounded After 1st Veterans’ Flagging Event Held at Bronx Victory Memorial
