The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory on Saturday, May 7, at 12:43 p.m. which will remain in effect until 2.45 p.m.   Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected in parts of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the northeast New Jersey counties of Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union and the southeast New York counties of Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan), Queens and Richmond (Staten Island). Montefiore Earns Perfect Score as LGBTQ+ Healthcare Leader Again

Morris Park: 16-Year-Old Girl Hit by Truck, Dies

Police confirm a 16-year-old girl has died following a road accident in Morris Park.   According to the NYPD, on Wednesday, May 4, at around 8.22 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been knocked down at 1027 Neill Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive 16-year-old girl with trauma about the body.   EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. A preliminary investigation by police revealed a 46-year-old man was driving a 2017 Ford F-750 Box Truck, traveling southbound on Paulding Avenue

Laconia: 51-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Dies following Daylight Collision

A 51-year-old woman died from her injuries after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in the Laconia section of the East Bronx following a daylight road incident involving one vehicle.   On Thursday, April 28, at approximately 12.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit at the intersection of Burke Avenue and Bouck Avenue in Laconia. Bronxites Remember Happy Land Social Club Fire Victims 32 Years Later
