Laconia: 51-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Dies following Daylight Collision

A 51-year-old woman died from her injuries after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in the Laconia section of the East Bronx following a daylight road incident involving one vehicle. On Thursday, April 28, at approximately 12.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit at the intersection of Burke Avenue and Bouck Avenue in Laconia. Bridge lift testing on the Manhattan span of the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge is scheduled for the early morning of Friday, April 8, with intermittent closures planned for both directions of traffic. A 29-year-old man has died following a scooter collision in the Belmont section of The Bronx. On Thursday, March 24, at approximately 10.32 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious man who was lying on the roadway at Southern Boulevard near Crotona Avenue, in the Belmont section of the Bronx.
