The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood watch for Thursday, July 31, starting at 2:14 a.m. until Friday, Aug. 1, at 8 a.m., with officials saying flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible in sections of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York, including across the five boroughs, as well as in northern Nassau, northern Westchester, Rockland, Southern Nassau, and Southern Westchester counties.

NYC Parks recently announced the launch of a new pilot public bathroom program, opening five new public bathrooms across the city. The Bronx restroom, located in the Concourse section of the borough, opened to mixed reviews, especially after residents learned of the $1 million price tag which facilitates doing their business.
