Firefighters battled a 5-alarm fire that broke out on Sunday evening in a multiple-unit, high-rise dwelling for eight hours, well into Monday morning, in the Soundview section of The Bronx, managing to contain the blaze to the original building. Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new, 4-story, residential building at 3052 Hull Avenue in the Norwood section of The Bronx as reported by YIMBY. Another e-bike battery fire, this time inside an e-bike store in the Norwood section of The Bronx, resulted in no injuries the FDNY said. A construction worker fell 30 feet from the 4th floor of a construction site in the Wakefield section of The Bronx and has been hospitalized, according to NYC Department of Buildings (DOB). Department officials added that safety violations were identified at the site run by BE Bronx Builders LLC, which is owned by the Stagg Group. Local graffiti removal group, Guerinos against Graffitti* have been thanked by their neighbors following the group’s confirmation that most of the graffiti on 204th Street between Mosholu Parkway and Valentine Avenue in Bedford Park has been recently removed.
