UPDATE Elections 2022: Nov. 8 Unofficial Results & Reaction to Statewide and North Bronx Races

After the polls closed on Tuesday, Nov. 8, the New York City Board of Elections released the initial, unofficial results of the general elections, based on a percentage of returned poll site scanners. These initial results cover both early votes and election day votes. Friends of Mosholu Parkland Host Fall / Halloween Community Festival at Mosholu Playground

  Under some glorious fall sunshine, Friends of Mosholu Parkland (FOMP) were back with gusto as they celebrated a delightful, organic-themed Fall / Halloween Community Festival in Mosholu Playground at P.S. 8 in Bedford Park on Saturday, Oct. 15.   The festival drew local kids dressed in Halloween costumes, as they munched on hot dogs, popcorn, donuts and treats. Teacher Arrested in The Bronx for Alleged Sexual Abuse, Other Charges

An on-duty public school teacher has been arrested in the Bronx for alleged sexual abuse and other charges, police said.   An NYPD spokesperson said, on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 2.51 p.m., an on-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged within the confines of the 43rd Precinct, which covers the neighborhoods of Westchester Avenue, Castle Hill Avenue, White Plains Road, and Parkchester.   The spokesperson said Paul Anthony Tyrrell, 38, an NYC Department of Education (DOE) teacher, was arrested and charged with forcible touching, three counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17
