Edenwald: Search for Gunman following Morning Shooting

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the person seen in the attached video and photos who is sought for questioning in connection to an attempted assault that occurred in Edenwald.   Police said on Monday, July 11, at around 9.48 a.m., in front of 1225 East 233rd Street, a 36-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle when an unknown individual approached it.   “The individual proceeded to display a firearm and discharged it multiple times, striking the victim’s vehicle three times,” a police spokesperson said. “The individual fled the location westbound on East 233 Street. UPDATE Fordham Heights: 29-Year-Old Man Arrested following Fatal Shooting

A 29-year-old man has been arrested following the murder of another man in Fordham Heights.   On Wednesday, July 13, at approximately 1.06 a.m., police responded to a 911 call about a person who had been shot in front of 2323 Grand Concourse, located in the 46th Precinct.   An NYPD spokesperson said, “Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the torso. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.” The spokesperson added, “There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.”

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man in Wakefield. An NYPD spokesperson said, “On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at approximately 22.46 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 686 East 234 Street, within the confines of the 47 Precinct.” The official added, “Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the torso.” EMS reportedly responded to the location and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Kingsbridge Heights Man Charged with Alleged Murder of his Wife, an NYPD Officer

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D.
