Mt. Hope: Two Sought following Robbery of 64-Year-Old Man

The two men seen in the attached photo are sought for questioning by the NYPD in connection to a robbery that occurred in the vicinity of Mt. Hope. Police are asking for the public’s assistance identifying the two individuals or the vehicle.

 

It was reported to police in the 46th Precinct that on Saturday, Sept. 17, at around 1.15 p.m. a 64-year-old male victim was walking at the location in the vicinity of Grand Concourse and Monroe Avenue, when the two unidentified men who were riding on a motorized scooter dismounted and approached him.

 

They allegedly stole his bag which contained contained keys and various forms of ID. During the incident, the victim fell to the ground and sustained minor lacerations about the body. The two assailants fled on the scooter, which was last seen fleeing westbound towards Morris Avenue. The victim refused medical attention at the scene for his injuries.

 

The first assailant is described as male, is estimated to be between 35 and 45 years old, is estimated to be between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and has a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black, hooded sweatshirt46 over a blue shirt, dark colored pants, and white/blue sneakers.

 

The second assailant is also described as male, is also estimated to be between 25 and 35 years of age, is estimated to be between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall and has a slim build. He was last seen wearing a baseball hat, with a neon construction vest over a black, hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and gray sneakers.
