A police spokesperson said, “On Saturday, July 30, 2022, in the vicinity of Jerome Avenue and East 233rd Street, at around 4 a.m., an unidentified individual discharged a firearm multiple times, striking a 21-year-old male victim and a 19-year-old female victim in the legs. Four-year-old Bronx resident, Mario Rosario, died following a scooter collision in Fordham Manor, police announced on Monday, Aug. 15. A 30-year-old man is dead following an apparent double shooting incident in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx, police said. A 31-year-old woman was also shot, but survived. Police said a 25-year-old man from Bedford Park has been arrested in connection with the murder investigation of a 20 year-old-man that took place in Belmont on July 27.
