Last Trinitarios Gang Member Pleads Guilty in Fatal Stabbing of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Dec. 13 that the last of the defendants in the June 20, 2018 fatal stabbing of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, who was also a member of the “Los Sures” set of the Trinitarios gang, has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for his role in the killing. Op-Ed: The Fair Chance Housing Act Will Only Lead To More Discrimination

New York City Council is now considering passing a bill, The Fair Chance Housing Act, which would not allow most landlords or management companies to perform criminal background checks on prospective tenants. Fordham Heights: Police Launch Murder Inquiry after Man, 28, is Fatally Shot

UPDATE Edenwald: 41-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot at Baychester Houses NYCHA Development

A murder investigation is underway by the NYPD after a 41-year-old man died following a fatal shooting in Edenwald, police said. On Thursday, Dec. 8, at around 8.09 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided, unconscious man inside 1851 Schieffelin Place, Baychester Houses NYCHA complex. Mt. Hope: Man Sought following Car Theft & Hit & Run Incident

  The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who is sought for questioning in connection to a robbery and hit & run incident that occurred in the Mt. A GoFundMe page has been set-up to support the family of fatal gun violence victim, Prince Shabazz 14, who, as reported, was fatally shot in Fordham Heights on Wednesday, Nov 30.   As reported, police spokesperson said the incident occurred at around 9.15 p.m. when officers from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a male who had been shot in front of 2249 Morris Avenue. “Upon arrival, officers observed a 14-year-old male [with] a gunshot wound to the torso,” the spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.”

Bedford Park: Man, 29, Stable in Hospital after Stabbing

A 29-year-old was stabbed in Bedford Park over the weekend, police said. He remains in stable condition.   On Saturday, Dec. 3, at around 2.25 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an assault in the vicinity of Valentine Avenue and East 198th Street.   Upon arrival officers were informed an unidentified person entered a home and stabbed a 29-year-old man after a physical altercation. “The subject fled the location to parts unknown,” police said. “EMS transported the victim St. Barnabas Medical Center in stable condition.
