Wakefield: Man Sought following Sexually Motivated Burglary involving 8-Year-Old Girl

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the man seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted in connection with a sexually motivated burglary that occurred in the Wakefield section of The Bronx.

Emergency services said a man was stabbed in Bedford Park and hospitalized in the early hours of Monday morning, June 8.

UPDATE Norwood: Cops Release Photos of Persons of Interest Sought in Decatur Ave Murder

Police released photos on Tuesday night, June 9, of two persons of interest sought for questioning following the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Jayden Purvis in the Norwood section of The Bronx late on Sunday night, June 7, and are asking the public for help identifying the two.

Four Men Charged with Sale of Assault Weapon & Eight Other Guns to Undercover Cop

Bronx District Attorney (DA) Darcel D. Clark and Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch announced May 20 that four men have been indicted in a firearms trafficking conspiracy in which nine guns were sold to an undercover police officer out of a building in the Concourse section of the Bronx. One of the guns was a .300 Blackout semi-automatic rifle.

UPDATE Con Edison Restoring Power to Customers Affected by Storm, Splitting Tree Trunk Reported at Harris Park

Con Edison officials said the company has restored power to more than 3,200 customers and is working to restore service to 10,300 customers still without electricity after powerful, fast moving thunderstorms swept through the region Saturday evening.
