Emergency services said a man was stabbed in Bedford Park and hospitalized in the early hours of Monday morning, June 8.
An FDNY / EMS spokesperson said they received a 911 call at 5.35 a.m. on Monday for a report of a person who had been stabbed at Bedford Park subway station, serving the B & D trains, located at 199 Bedford Park Blvd, between Villa Avenue and the Grand Concourse.
They said one civilian patient was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and their condition and description was unknown.
An NYPD spokesperson later said the department received a call at 5.57 a.m. for an incident at Bedford Park Blvd station, where a 34-year-old man was slashed in the left side of his forehead. The spokesperson said the man was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, and there are no arrests or description for the suspect. Asked if the incident took place inside or outside the station, the spokesperson said, “Possibly on the train.”

The incident is one of a series of stabbings at the station in recent months. As reported, a 40-year-old man was also stabbed in the same station and hospitalized on Dec. 10, 2025, and a month prior, another man was also stabbed at the same station on Election Night, Nov. 4, 2025, and was also transported to St. Barnabas Hospital. That last patient from the November incident had been in critical condition. Police later released an image of a man wanted for questioning in connection with the November 2025 incident.
As reported just after midnight in nearby Norwood, a 23-year-old man was shot dead on East 207th Street between Decatur Avenue and Parkside Place.
