Two Entrances to Norwood-205th Bainbridge Avenue Station Closed for Stairway Repair Work
Straphangers entering or exiting the Norwood-205th Subway Station, serving the D train will notice that two of the four entrances to the station are now covered by a construction shed as repairs to the entrance stairways are underway. The project is expected to be completed by July, according to NYC Department of Transportation.

Jerome Avenue Post Office Finally Reopens
The post office branch located at 3464 Jerome Avenue in Norwood reopened on May 2, after being closed for around one year. Google also lists the post office as reopened. As reported, a mobile unit parked outside the post office had been serving customers following confirmation from USPS last year that there was a raccoon infestation in the building.

UPDATE Olinville: Taxi Association Offers Cash Reward for Info on Man Sought for Shooting at Cab
The the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers (NYSFTD) has offered a cash reward for information on the identity of a gunman who allegedly shot at a cab driver’s vehicle several times following a dispute. As reported, the New York City Police Department had been asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection with the shooting that they said occurred in the Olinville section of The Bronx in early May. NYSFTD have previously highlighted the dangers posed to cab drivers in The Bronx amid a slew of recent carjackings.
