Most of the attention on COVID-19 revolves around the physical consequences of its spread, especially in communities of color, but a secondary effect has to do with a decrease in academic attainment, especially in the Latino community.   The educational fallout from the pandemic is seen in figures collected by the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). UPDATE CCRB Finds 12 Bronx Police Officers Guilty of Misconduct during BLM Protests Thus Far 

  The Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) released an updated “protest data snapshot” on Thursday, March 24, updating the public on the status of the 319 complaints filed to date and stemming from the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. Fordham Manor: 13-Year-Old Girl Assaulted & Robbed by Gang of Three

Fordham Manor: Man Arrested on Rape & Attempted Murder Charges

  Police said they have arrested a man for the rape and attempted murder of a woman inside an apartment building in Fordham Manner.    NYPD officials said on Friday, March 11, at approximately 3.30 p.m., it was reported to them that inside a residential building in the vicinity of Davidson Avenue and West 190th Street, a man placed a 27-year-old woman in a chokehold until she lost consciousness, and then raped her.   They said he then fled the scene on foot, southbound, on Davidson Avenue.
