University Heights / Morris Heights: Man Slashed & Stabbed in Both Legs

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the 38-year-old man seen in the attached photo who is sought in connection with an assault that occurred in University Heights/Morris Heights.

 

It was reported to police that on Monday, April 4, at 8.12 a.m., the victim, a 39-year-old man, was walking in the vicinity of West Burnside Avenue and Davidson Avenue on the border of University Heights and Morris Heights, when he was approached by Jean-Carlos Abreu, aka Luis, a 38-year-old man. Abreu allegedly produced a knife and slashed and stabbed the victim in both legs before fleeing on a bicycle.

 

The victim was transported in stable condition by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital.
