Mayor, Schumer Announce First-in-Nation “Street Deliverista Hubs” for Food Delivery Workers

Mayor Eric Adams and U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer announced the launch on Monday, Oct. 3, of a first-of-its-kind hub program for New York City’s 65,000 delivery workers, many of whom are immigrants. Allerton: Group of Five Sought in Bronx Robbery Pattern

Norwood: Search for 58-Year-Old Missing Man

A 58-year-old man was reported missing from Norwood on Friday, Sept. 30, and the NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating him.   Police said it was reported to them that Melvin Phillips, 58, from 3144 Hull Avenue was last seen Friday, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m., leaving his home. Late Lehman College Faculty Member, David Carroll Fletcher, is Fondly Remembered

Representatives of Lehman College said they are deeply saddened to announce the passing of David Carroll Fletcher, a longtime faculty member in the college’s school of education. They said Fletcher was part of the Lehman family for over two decades and served as an assistant professor in the Department of Middle and High School Education.
