Norwood’s P.S. 94 Kings College held its Annual Spelling Bee Contest for the school’s 4th and 5th graders on March 27, which saw 4th grader Bersour Poda emerge victorious out of a field of 20 contestants.

Three E-Bike Fires reported in The Bronx in 12 Days

FDNY officials confirmed three e-bike fires broke out across the borough in the first 12 days of May. An FDNY spokesperson told Norwood News an e-bike fire was reported at 11.49 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, when firefighters were called to 2105 Ryer Avenue in Fordham Heights, between East 180th and East 181st Streets. The spokesperson said four e-bikes were discovered burning outside the front entrance of the 5-story building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, they said.

Two Cops Charged with Off-Duty Sexual Abuse of Unconscious Woman after Night Out

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Thursday, May 16, that two NYPD officers were charged with a criminal sexual act and sexual abuse for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a heavily intoxicated woman during an off-duty incident.
