Kingsbridge: Group Sought for Assault & Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is a member of a group sought in connection to a robbery that occurred in Kingsbridge. 

Kingsbridge Library Reopens

Kingsbridge Library has reopened following a temporary closure in late January which continued into February and which, according to the New York Public Library press office, was due to repairs to its HVAC unit, which library officials said was causing a lack of heat in the building, located at 291 West 231st Street in Kingsbridge.

UPDATE Eight Bronx Building Owners Fined for Non-Compliance with Lead Paint Regulations

Eight Bronx building owners, including two in Norwood, one in Bedford Park, one in Kingsbridge, and one in Fordham Manor, are among ten owners who were collectively fined over $150,000 by NYC Department of Housing, Preservation & Development (HPD) for failing to comply with lead-based paint regulations, HPD officials said on Jan. 16.

Collection Held for Domestic Violence Survivors ahead of Galentine’s Day Event

In advance of Galentine’s Day, a global holiday that celebrates women’s friendship and mutual empowerment, typically marked on Feb. 13, a collection of pre-loved or new items, including beauty products, accessories, jewelry, hair products, purses, shoes, clothes, and more was organized to support women living at a Bronx Domestic Violence (DV) shelter.
