After the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and a federal judge extended deadlines to apply for stimulus payments under the CARES Act, the Legal Aid Society called on the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), and the New York City Department of Correction (DOC) to bolster outreach to those in custody to assist them with these applications. The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals who appear in the attached video in connection with a burglary that occurred within the confines of the 52nd precinct. On Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020 at approximately 5:14 a.m., inside of 325 East 201st Street, two unknown individuals forcibly gained access to the building through a secured front entrance. On Friday, Oct. 9, 2020 at approximately 8 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who was stabbed at the corner of Jerome Avenue and East Gun Hill Road, within the confines of the 52nd precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 29-year-old man who had sustained a stab wound to his chest. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation remains ongoing.
