Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for a seven-story, mixed-use building located at 1047 Ogden Avenue in the Highbridge section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY. Located at the intersection of West 165th Street and Ogden Avenue, the lot is closest to the 167th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. A driver who ignored a police-stop, who was not being pursued by police, caused a three-vehicle crash that injured at least two vehicle occupants and three pedestrians at a busy intersection in Fordham Manor. The incident was reported at 4:16 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the intersection of East Kingsbridge Road and East Fordham Road in Fordham Manor. The New York Latino Film Festival (NYLFF), billed as the nation’s premier Latino film festival returned to The Bronx from Sept. 13 to 19, with a combination of virtual programming and drive-in and in-person screenings held across the borough, as well as the FUTURO Digital Conference. New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli recently announced that Bronx residents have $353,393,103.00 in unclaimed funds waiting to be paid. According to the State comptroller’s office, banks, insurance companies, corporations and the courts are among the many organizations required by law to report dormant accounts to the State comptroller. A 25-year-old man has been arrested on murder charges following a shooting in Pelham Parkway. On Thursday, May 6, at approximately 3.07 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at 2143 Cruger Avenue in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx, located in the 49th precinct. Upon arrival police observed a 23-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to his chest.
