The NYPD have arrested a man in connection to the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old male driver, shot on the Major Deegan Expressway on Monday evening, Nov. 21. The victim later crashed into “multiple” parked vehicles on Sedgwick Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights. $3 Million for Montefiore to Engage Fathers, Improve Child Welfare among Families at Risk of Substance Abuse

The Administration for Children and Families, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has awarded researchers at Montefiore Health System a $3 million grant to improve the well-being of families, by helping fathers with substance use disorders. Police said that on Tuesday, Nov, 8, at around 8.20 hours, a 77-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of Decatur Avenue and East 201st Street when a person unknown to her approached her. Police said on Friday, Nov. 18, at around 8.30 a.m., a 77-year-old woman was entering her apartment building, located in the vicinity of Kossuth Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway North, and while walking to her apartment door, a person approached her from behind and grabbed her purse.
