Olinville: Man Sought following Hit ‘n Run on Burke Ave & Cruger Ave

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted for allegedly leaving the scene of a collision that occurred in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx. 

Police said that on Saturday, June 6, at around 11.20 a.m., a 29-year-old woman was driving an electric scooter eastbound on Burke Avenue when she was struck by a Gray Toyota Rav 4, which was traveling northbound on Cruger Avenue, and being driven by an unidentified person.

 

“The vehicle fled the scene and was later recovered unoccupied on East Gun Hill Road and White Plains Road [in the Olinville section of The Bronx],” an NYPD spokesperson said. “The unidentified operator was last seen traveling on a BX-39 MTA bus westbound towards Webster Avenue. The victim sustained minor injuries throughout her body and was transported by EMS in stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.”

As reported, a 69-year-old man was recently arrested following a fatal hit ‘n run that killed a 29-year-old man Mt. Hope man also, in Wakefield in April.
