Edenwald: Two Sought for Armed Robbery of Business

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached media who they say are sought in connection with a commercial robbery that occurred in Edenwald. 

Sanitation Dept Issues Snow Alert for Sunday, January 19, at 7 a.m.

NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has issued a snow alert for Sunday, Jan. 19, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing until 2 a.m. Monday. A snow alert is the department’s “higher level” snow-fighting notification, as opposed to the “lower level” winter operations advisory. DSNY officials said that while there have been several winter operations advisories issued this winter already, this is the first storm to warrant a snow alert.

UPDATE Spuyten Duyvil: MTA Bus Crashes into High Wall by Independence Ave after Seemingly Failing to Navigate Turn

There were no injuries reported after a BxM1 bus crashed into a high wall by 2601 Henry Hudson Parkway and Kappock Street / Independence Avenue in the Spuyten Duyvll section of The Bronx on Friday morning, Jan. 17, according to City officials.   The FDNY said they received a call at 8.40 a.m. for a report of a bus hanging from an overpass. They said there were no reported injuries but emergency units are continuing to operate at the scene. The MTA later confirmed that the FDNY helped the driver off the bus.
