  The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in locating a 66-year-old man reported missing from North Riverdale. It was reported to police that Stanley Mills, 66, of 6355 Broadway, Apt 419A, was last seen on Monday, Jan. 9, at 8.49 a.m. inside his home. UPDATE Bronx CB7 Looks Forward to Subway Upgrades & More in 2023  

Bronx Community Board 7 (CB7) held their final board meeting of 2022 on Dec. 13, following a successful annual tree-lighting event in Bedford Park on Dec. 8. The meeting was attended by around two dozen people, updates were shared by the different CB7 committee chairs and concerns of some community members were also heard.   The meeting was the first to be presided over by recently elected Bronx CB7 chair, Yajaira Arias, following her election to the position on Nov. 15. As reported, Arias, the incumbent CB7 secretary, succeeds Emmanuel Martinez, who stepped down as chair in the summer of 2022.

Wakefield: Man, 18, Arrested in Murder Case of Elijah Dukuray, 23

NYPD officials said an 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Elijah Dukuray, 23, in Wakefield last year.   Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, on Jan. 12, police said on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 10.38 a.m. an unnamed 18-year-old man was arrested in the 47th Precinct. Bedford Park: Phase II Construction Begins at Bedford Greene

  Construction of Bedford Green House II, located at 2880 Jerome Avenue in Bedford Park, the second of a two-phase, supportive housing development, began on Friday, Dec. 9. Off-Duty NYC Department of Homeless Services Employee Arrested for Menacing

An off-duty City employee was arrested in The Bronx on Monday, police said.   According to the NYPD, Tonya Simmons, 47, an off-duty employee with NYC Department of Homeless Services was arrested on Monday, Jan.  9, at 9.24 p.m. within the boundaries of the 48th Precinct, which covers the neighborhoods of Belmont, East Tremont, and West Farms, while Fordham University’s Bronx campus is nestled in the precinct’s northern corner.   Simmons was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
