Republican President-elect Donald J. Trump announced on Monday, Nov. 11, that he has nominated the “Highly Respected” former congressman from New York, Lee Zeldin, to serve as the administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protective Agency (EPA). Zeldin, who previously represented NY-1 in eastern Long Island, ran unsuccessfully for governor of New York against Democrat, Gov. Kathy Hochul in 2022.

A Bronx man, Ricardo Ferguson, a/k/a “Maybach,” has been sentenced to life in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Richard M. Berman for the Dec. 5, 2021 murder of Robert Brown, Sr. inside Aqueduct Park walkway in the University Heights neighborhood of The Bronx. The news was confirmed by Damian Williams, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
