Norwood: Two Men Hospitalized and Later Arrested after Fight on East Gun Hill Road

Two men were hospitalized and later charged with assault following a fight in the Norwood section of The Bronx in the early hours of Tuesday, May 19, police said. An NYPD spokesperson said there are two complaints on file for assaults that took place on May 19 in front of 301 East Gun Hill Road, a mixed use, residential and commercial building, which houses a dental business at street level.

Four Transport Changes Required for Some Bronx NYCHA Residents to Get to Bronx City Grocery Store

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was back in The Bronx on Monday, May 18, together with the NYC Economic Development Corporation (EDC) to announce that The Peninsula in the Hunts Point section of the borough has been selected as the second site for the City’s municipal grocery store program. The multi-purpose development, which is already underway, is located along Spofford Avenue between Manida and Tiffany Streets and is the former site of the Spofford Juvenile Detention Center.
