AG Letitia James & DEC Inspect Sites to Halt Illegal Pesticide Sales in The Bronx 

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced Friday, April 10, what was described as a coordinated enforcement action to stop the illegal sale and distribution of “dangerous, unregistered pesticides” in New York City.   Officials from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) said they staged a surprise inspection of three wholesale warehouses in The Bronx and served cease-and-desist letters as part of an ongoing investigation into a hazardous pesticide supply chain.   “New Yorkers should never have to worry that the products being sold in their communities could seriously harm their families,”

UPDATE Bedford Park: 32-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in MTA Bus-Motorcycle Accident Near Tracey Towers

A 32-year-old male motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision involving an MTA bus close to Tracey Towers in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx, police say. Separately, at least two videos posted to social media have made reference to a police chase seemingly insinuating that the chase resulted in a crash. Currently, Norwood News is unable to confirm if there is any link between the two incidents, given the timing of each.
