A 59-year-old female pedestrian is in critical condition following a motor vehicle accident in the Little Yemen section of The Bronx. On Friday, Sept. 9, at around 6.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian who was struck at the intersection of Bronxdale Avenue and Cruger Avenue in the Little Yemen section of The Bronx, located south of Pelham Parkway, in the 49th Precinct. A 31-year-old male pedestrian is in critical condition following an early morning motor vehicle collision on the Major Deegan Expressway, police said. The Offices of the NYS Inspector General published its latest investigative report on Friday, Aug. 19, as well as 21 previously non-public letters arising from investigations undertaken by the office. A 59-year-old woman has died following a freak incident during which a tree apparently fell into an occupied swimming pool in Spuyten Duyvil. A 3-alarm fire in Claremont Village on Aug. 4 resulted in injury to one firefighter according to FDNY officials. An FDNY spokesperson said the fire was reported on Thursday morning, Aug. 4, at six minutes after midnight at 1325 Morris Avenue. According to the FDNY official, the fire was “on all floors of a 2-story dwelling.” He added that around 33 units comprising 138 firefighters and EMS members responded to the scene.
