The Academy of Mount St. Ursula (AMSU), a historic, all girls, Catholic high school founded in 1855, celebrated the commencement of its Class of 2026 on Thursday, May 21. The school said the graduates demonstrated exceptional academic excellence and boasted a 100% college acceptance rate.

Run the Bronx, the annual race comprising a 5K run, 10K run and 2-mile walk, was held once again this year on Saturday, May 2, at Bronx Community College in University Heights, where a host of shiny trophies and medals were awarded to pumped up runners in the presence of Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson. A kid’s fun run was also held.

Bronx youth participating in Good Shepherd Services’ (GSS) family foster care program got some welcome news on Wednesday, April 15, as the nonprofit, in collaboration with AT&T, unveiled a new computer lab at its University Heights center at 7 West Burnside Avenue, expanding internet and connected technology access to an underserved community.
