The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection to an armed robbery that occurred in University Heights.

Police said two people were shot at 13 West Burnside Avenue in the University Heights section of The Bronx on Friday afternoon, Dec. 15, at 2.22 p.m. Both were removed to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition they said. Levulose deli/juice bar/café is located at the address.

Bronx Woman Found Guilty of Laundering Over $2 Million from Victims in Romance Fraud Scheme

A Bronx woman, Nadine Jazimne Wade, 30, was found guilty by a jury on four charges relating to money laundering and bank fraud linked to a romance fraud scheme federal prosecutors said on Thursday, Dec. 14. Damian Williams, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York said Wade was found guilty following a two-week trial before U.S. District Judge Katherine Polk Failla.

Gillibrand Releases New Report on Anti-Gun Trafficking Law

U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand unveiled her report analyzing initial successes arising from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA)’s anti-gun trafficking section and mental health funding distribution on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Gillibrand’s first-of-its-kind report found that more than 1,300 illegal guns have been seized and more than 200 defendants have been charged under BSCA’s new gun trafficking statute.
